Eat breakfast like a king


Nothing but the truth! Your child’s stomach is empty in the morning and the body requires energy to start the day off well. There are 5 types of food that belong in a well-balanced breakfast:

  1. a grain product (whole grain is the best choice)
  2. a milk product (up to the age of 4 whole milk products are recommended)
  3. fresh fruit
  4. a little bit of margarine
  5. a glass of water

This sounds like a lot! But one slice of whole grain bread, thinly buttered, with soft creamy cheese and a few slices of banana and blueberries is a great start to the day! Oh yes, don’t forget the glass of water!
